The main event. Chip-timed and competitive, 45% trail, 45% coastal, 10% road. Fast, scenic, and runnable. Starts 10:00am · All ages
5km Kids Run
Their first race, on a course made for it. Every kid a finisher. Starts 10:30am · Under 15s
5km Community Walk
No clock, no pressure. Bring the family, bring the dog (on lead). Starts 10:35am · All welcome
Flat entry: $40 adults, $30 under 15s, whatever the distance. Bringing the whole family? Grab the family pass: 2 adults and 2 kids for $110.

Every finisher takes home the 2026 Coastal Classic t-shirt. This is the inaugural design, and it won’t be printed again. A new one lands every year, so this is the first in the set. Enter by 20 September to lock in your size.
Every entry protects this coast.
A portion of every entry goes to the Kariaotahi Surf Club, the volunteers who watch over this water. Run the Coastal Classic and you’re backing the people who keep it safe. That’s the whole point.
Make a day of it
The Food Truck Collective will be at the event centre once you’ve finished. They will have some amazing options so make sure to bring a payment method to grab lunch after your run!

Race day snapshot

- 8:45am – registration and parking open
- 10:00am – 8km starts
- 10:30am – Kids Run starts, Food Truck Collective opens
- 10:35am – Community Walk starts
- 11:30am – prizegiving
Can’t wait? Collect your bib and t-shirt at pre-registration on Saturday 3 October, 3 to 5pm at Paddock to Pantry, and grab a free sausage while you’re there.
